Pilot project in Rural Rwanda Training Nurses -
Lander Rotary has proceeded with the pilot program discussed at the D5440 District Conference to reduce heart disease in children in Rwanda. Maria Kidner, Lander Rotarian, will be delivering a train-the-trainer program to Rwandan nurses who will train nurses from more rural areas in Rwanda. Evaluations are planned so we can determine if this club project can be expanded to a Global Grant in the future. The program is scheduled for delivery in December 2022 and January 2023.
Lander Rotary has contributed 37% of the project costs and we are seeking donations for the remaining expenses. 100% of the donations will be applied to project costs. All time and travel will be absorbed by volunteers or paid through other funds. If you remain interested in this project, we hope you will consider a donation - of any size.
