Be a sponsor of the 2018 Rotary Memorial Scholarship Tournament

As returning bluebirds and hummingbirds, greening meadows and beckoning golf courses signal spring’s arrival in Estes Park, it’s time to mark your calendar for the Rotary Club of Estes Park Memorial Tournament for Scholarships, set for Saturday, June 30, 2018.

The 22nd annual event will raise funds for the Rotary Club of Estes Park Foundation Scholarship Fund. Annually, the club raises $24,000 for three, four-year academic scholarships for graduating Estes Park high school students.

The tournament will be held on a Saturday for the fourth year with the aim of attracting more golfers, Chairman Peter Sinnott said. The fun will begin with a putting contest prior to the 8 a.m. shotgun start at the 18-hole Estes Park Golf Course.

“We have set our sights on raising more in sponsorships than we did last year, and our committee members are making those contacts now,” Sinnott said. “All sponsor donations are tax deductible and go toward local scholarships.”

Many sponsors have been lined up, but more are needed, Sinnott said. Levels include: Diamond ($2,000), Gold Sponsor ($1,000), Silver Sponsor ($500), Bronze Sponsor ($250), Tee/Green Sponsor ($110), and Junior Golfer Sponsor ($75). Sponsors who pledge $110 or more are recognized at the event and in publicity prior to the event. Some sponsorships include a complimentary tournament registration.

“We recognize our major sponsors on our tournament posters, on banners and signs on the tees and greens at the event, and in newspaper articles. Our sponsors make the event possible, and we truly appreciate their contributions,” Sinnott said.
