Our Club’s Visioning Meetings conclude this Thursday. Bring your best ideas! These ideas will help your board decide how to best augment our plans for the future.
The meeting will run until 1:30 PM.
Please feel comfortable to leave prior to 1:30 if you need to (but don’t hesitate to come even if you need to leave early as we still need your best ideas).
We sincerely hope you will participate and help us with this process.
The winner of the photo contest for next year’s Friendship Card will be announced this Thursday.
I am looking forward to hearing from Karen which photo was selected.
Hopefully the winning photographer will be present for the announcement.
We will be welcoming two new members to the Club on Thursday! Please join in and give them a “hearty welcome” at the meeting!
Please don’t forget to give Jack Boatman your Matching Grant requests this Thursday.
It will be the last day to make requests.
You can bring a check and fill out the form at the meeting if that’s most convenient for you.

November 11, 2021 Meeting Notes
President Jim Whitneck rang the bell at 12:00. Virgil Holtgrewe gave the Invocation. President Jim Whiteneck led the Pledge.
Guests of Rotarians: Mel Rueppel introduced his neighbor, Barry Hannigan Valerie Van der Werf joined new member husband Ben for lunch.
Announcements:
President Jim read a thank you note for the Rotary grant resulting in children’s playground equipment from Nehemiah Gateway.
Plan to attend the club meeting next week for the second Visioning Planning meeting to discuss future club directions and efforts.
Plan on a hour and a half meeting and stay as long as you can. A special meal is in the works.
Jack Boatman thanked everyone for the good response to the Foundation program for matching charitable donations.
Scott Thompson played a special video presentation for Veterans Day.
Happy Money:
Mel Rueppel is happy his neighbor could attend. Mel is also happy for a successful trip to Grand Canyon.
Scott Thompson is happy that wife Karen is safely home from a visit with a new grand child. Great Grandmother Pat Newsom is coming home from the hospital today after suffering a broken hip.
Annie Slack donated $11 to commemorate Armistice Day; the 11th month, the 11th day, and the 11th hour, which later was recognized as Veterans Day.
Annie Slack introduced the program guests for the Healing Waters presentation: recent President of the board Deborah Bruce, board member and volunteer Roger Truesdale, and Physical Therapy Assistant, Athletic Trainer and board member Bethany Matthias who gave the presentation.
President Jim closed the club meeting with the 4 way test.

It’s time to purchase your table for the winter Rotary Scholarship Fundraiser dinner.
The dinner will be held on Tuesday evening, December 7th, 5-8pm, at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge/Twin Owls Steakhouse, 3110 S. St. Vrain Ave.
The dining room will be decorated for the holidays and will provide a beautiful setting for our event.
The menu choices will be
Prime Rib
Salmon
Basil Pesto Pasta.
A table for four will be $715 ($400 will be tax deductible); a table for six will be $1070 ($600 will be tax deductible).
Purchase a table(s) to enjoy with friends/family, or to entertain as a gift.
You may decide on your guests and their menu selections at a later date.
A special musical presentation will be included for a portion of the evening.

Matching Charitable Donation Program
Double Your Donation to Your Favorite Local Charity!
The Rotary Club of Estes Park Foundation is conducting a matching charitable donation program this fall to supplement donations to local non-profits.
The maximum matching donation amount is $300 per member and the minimum donation amount is $50.
Rotary Club of Estes Park members will be able to apply for matching donations from the Foundation until November 18, 2021.
The Foundation will be providing matching donations to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations serving Estes Valley residents and in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State.
The application form which provides detailed instructions is available on the club website and is available at the weekly club meetings. You will also be receiving an email with the application form attached.

Community Service Committee Update
Announcements:
The Noon Rotary donated $300 to Blue Santa, from Projects funds.
Our club is adopting a family (a mom and 4 kids: ages 16, 14, 11, and 7) for Bright Christmas.
You should have received an email with their ages and wish list on 11/14. If you have questions, please contact Beth.
Estes Park Health Foundation (President Kevin Mullin is in our club) is seeking contributions toward the new MRI machine
They need to purchase by next year.
Whatever they can’t raise, they will have to finance.
If anyone wishes to contribute to the new MRI machine
Just fill out the form Jack has emailed to the club and name EP Health Foundation as your charity,
return it to Jack with your check before November 18, and the Rotary Foundation will match your contribution dollar for dollar.
