Speaker Elizabeth Winn District Director, Northern Colorado & Wyoming Elizabeth is a native of western Nebraska. She received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wyoming and earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska. She has 20 years of nonprofit fundraising and management experience and more than 15 years of experience with community engagement, program implementation, and volunteer management. Prior to joining Junior Achievement, she held regional leadership positions with the American Heart Association and Girls Scouts of Colorado. Junior Achievement is the only organization that provides sequential K-12 economic curriculum delivered by volunteers at no cost to schools. JA's programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate income and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities. |
