Donna Chapel

In 2004, Donna Chapel (former CPA and CFP) established the wealth management firm of Chapel & Collins in Fort Collins and Denver.  She was a partner specializing in taxes for a Fort Collins accounting firm prior to that time.  Serving on many nonprofit boards, including Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, Center for Family Outreach, Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and establishing Veterans Compass of Northern Colorado, Donna has always enjoyed giving a hand up.  A Rotarian (former Club President of Rotary Club of Fort Collins) since 1992, Donna and husband Tom enjoy travel, including daughter, Jessica, and son, Josh when possible.  Relaxing these days with grandchildren Avery and Cameron, Donna also helps socialize cats and kittens for Estes Park Pet Association.  Donna will be sharing their experiences in Tanzania and Rwanda prior to the COVID pandemic.
Update by President Jim Whiteneck

Announcements:

  • What are amazing job Ron Gordon, Chuck Bonza, Longley Parker and the entire Club are doing to provide help for the people struggling in Ukraine. Your generosity is remarkable and heartwarming!
  • Our Big Duck, Beth, is paddling “full speed ahead“ toward a wonderful Duck Race on May 7! (What torpedoes?) As an “all hands on deck” event, please volunteer to help out and be part of this AMAZING endeavor. Let Beth know where you can help!
  • Josh the Otter will be visiting Estes Park Elementary soon. Chuck Bonza and I will need a few readers to assist in reading the story to several classes.
  • I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!

Milt Garrett
Paul Harris Fellow for the 6th Time!

Milt Garrett receiving his pin from President Elect Dennis Gellhaus, Anne Slack

I owe Milt an apology.  Receiving a Paul Harris Fellow pin is very special, especially when it is his 6th contribution of $1000.
In "Rotary Speak" this is Paul Harris plus five, not four!!

Spring Clean Up Day
Saturday, April 30, 2022
9 AM

It’s Spring Clean Up time again!
Over the winter a lot of trash and debris collects along our roads, in trees and bushes, around our lakes, and along the river.
Many volunteers are needed to assist in the annual cleanup of our Town in preparation for the Duck Race, to create a safer environment, and to beautify our community for residents and visitors.
Mark your calendars for the morning of Saturday, April 30th, 9 am to noon to help with this effort, a collaboration of the Town of Estes Park, the Rotary Club of Estes Park, the Estes Valley Recreation and Parks Department, and Atlas Disposal.
Groups and volunteers are asked to meet at 9 am at the east side of the Visitor’s Center for instructions, route assignments, and distribution of orange bags.
Watch for another article with more information to follow.
