There will be no club meeting at noon this week, because we will gather later on Thursday to celebrate Presidents’ Night at The Dunraven. Our gathering will begin at 5:30 p.m. with social time, followed by a special dinner. The program will begin at 6:45 p.m. We will thank all members who have served previously as club presidents, welcome spouses of former members and other special guests, and present several awards. These include the Legacy Award, Spirit Award, Distinguished Service Award and Rotarian of the Year Award. Members of the current club and foundation boards will be recognized, and next year’s Board will be announced. The program will culminate with the traditional passing of the gavel from 2020-21 President Bill Solms to 2021-22 President Jim Whiteneck.
Thanks to Karol Rinehart for planning this annual event, the first time our club has met for an in-person event in more than a year.

President Bill Solms will have the ZOOM available from 5 PM to 8 PM. The Awards Program will start at 6:45 PM.
It’s time to celebrate!

Program
Rick Taylor shared his philosophy of Endings, the theme of his final program, through poetry, music, stories and a dream. He posed relevant questions, including, “How do we make meaning out of our one life?” and “What needs to end for you and me?” He asked us to ponder what might be waiting to be born as we move from ending to new beginning. Jim Whiteneck called Rick’s program “thoughtful and insightful.” He said he has enjoyed and appreciated his relationship with Rick Taylor and thanked him for bringing programs to our meeting for the past five years.
Adjournment
After promising that Rick would receive his very own Piece of the Rock, Jim adjourned the meeting at 12:37 p.m. with the recitation of the Four-Way Test.

Writers, step forward, please
The club needs some volunteers to handle publicity, the website and Facebook page. Thanks to Anne Slack and Dale Bonza, your weekly newsletter will continue the tradition of excellence.
The Duck Race has found a new publicity person, Leslie Botha of Loveland. She will handle social media, but may need some help with writing the articles.
General Publicity for the club: grants, awards, programs, membership, Golf Tournament, Friendship Card - whatever the board requests.
Club Website- updating, probably best done in conjunction with The Spoke.
Club Facebook Page - updating it with articles on our programs, club news, interesting items from R.I., photos of community service projects, etc.
Please contact me if you are interested in helping the club with publicity. raduchateau@gmail.com

Hello all Noon Rotary members
We will be holding a meeting for whoever is interested in being on the 2022 Duck Race Committee, this coming Thursday, June 17, at 2:00 p.m. on Scott’s Zoom.
Volunteers are needed to help clear lots damaged by the East Troublesome Fire. This is a Grand Lake Rotary club project in conjunction with Adopt-A-Family.
The Mennonite Disaster Services (US & Canada) are providing a larger chipper, some volunteers, continental breakfast and lunch for another project. 20 volunteers (pre-registered for the event) need to show up at 8:30 for safety orientation and we start working at 9am. The project for the day is distributing a great deal of chipped material in designated areas, back filling burnt root holes with dirt, continue cleaning of monuments, back filling sunken graves. Tools & safety equipment will be provided, as always if you have your own work gloves bring them! This will be a day where several different types of rakes and wheel-barrels are needed, if you can bring these items that will be helpful. Please make sure your items are marked.
Carl Robicheaux is recruiting volunteers to help with the Sunday, June 20 Estes Park Marathon. Plan to spend part of your Father's Day helping with this community event.
