Days for Girls Days For Girls International is an award-winning NGO that works to shatter stigma and limitations associated with menstruation for improved health, education and livelihoods. Since 2008, we have reached 2.5 million women and girls in 144 countries with menstrual health solutions and education, trained 200 enterprise leaders, and mobilized over 1,000 volunteer chapters, teams, and clubs. Parking: American Legion and the church only. Kate Norton Days for Girls Volunteer Kate has been volunteering for Days for Girls International for five years in Fort Collins, CO. She and her DfG co-leader, Liz Ortolano, have recently started their own team that makes Days for Girls kits and donates to DfG businesses in Kenya so they can distribute even more kits! She discovered DfG during her first trip to Kenya, where she and a group of volunteers work with Kenyans to provide clean water to rural schools. The goal of the water project is to keep kids in schools. There, Kate learned that another major factor of girls dropping out of school is not having period products. This launched her support of the DfG program. She has a PhD in molecular biology and works in Regulatory Affairs in the Pharmaceutical Industry. |
