Bob Fixter has been an Estes Park downtown merchant since 2005. Fixter graduated from the Nebraska Wesleyan University and from the Gemological Institute of America. He moved from Lincoln, Nebraska, where he was a gemologist for a local jewelry store. Currently, he owns Fall River Jewelry & Antiques. This is a place to find one of a kind jewelry, gifts, museum-quality collectables, autographs, and commemorative items from our nation's history.
In celebration of our nation's 250th anniversary, Bob will be talking about what his store will be doing to honor our country’s history.

Duck Race Committee meeting this Thursday
Duck Race update meeting directly after our regular meeting this Thursday. Updates will be given for the work completed to date. Most importantly, the team leads are asked to look ahead for each of their responsibilities and give their view of how many volunteers they anticipate will be needed.
Slate of Nominees for Rotary Fiscal Year 2026-2027
Nominations for the Rotary Club Board for 2026-2027 are: Officers: President: Guy Van der Werf, President- Elect: Open, Past President: Jack Ford, Secretary: Sarah Walsh, Treasurer: Gregg Jurgens with Assistant Treasurer: Longley Parker, Sergeant-At-Arms: Open, Directorates: Club Administrator: Karol Rinehart, Membership: Scott Robbins, Youth Services: Ruby Bode - Interact, Dave Boon - RYLA, Chris Davis - Exchange Student.
Per the Foundation Bylaws two Trustees shall be elected each year to serve a term of three years. This year’s nominees are Gregg Jurgens and Suzy Blackhurst. Valerie Van der Werf and Dale Bonza are Trustees of Scholarship and Grants respectively and require reelection for one year terms.
Per the Club’s Bylaws "the names of the nominees: (1) shall be published in three successive edition of the club newsletter prior to the election; and (2) shall be read by a Nominating Committee member to the membership at three successive regularly scheduled meetings..."

Meeting Notes 11/6/25
President Jack Ford called the meeting to order. Rick Life gave the Invocation: one of many law enforcement officers' prayers. Jack led the Pledge of Allegiance. We sang “God Bless America”, accompanied by Madison Casey.

Chuck asked for all to look at the updated Duck Race website, http://epduckrace.org, and report any problems. Also, he announced the Duck Race team leaders meeting to plan the next couple months; anybody's invited.
Tara announced the Rotary Scholarship Dinner, on December 9th at Twin Owls Steakhouse. The Sempatica Quartet will be entertaining. The price will be $150 a person, so a table for 4 is $600, a table for 6 is $900, and a table for 8 is $1,200. Checks can go to Gregg anytime.

With encouragement from our District Governor, Karen Morgan, she is moving forward with reading and publishing the list of nominations, with the hope that someone would step forward before our next fiscal year. Annie then read the list of board-approved candidates and open positions, which can be found in the Slate of Nominees article included In This Spoke Edition
There's a box at the entrance labelled Toys for Tots, and it's from the Marine Corps League. You can donate toys by putting them in the box
Sign-up for Thanksgiving Dinner in the Amber Restaurant will close after today's meeting. Anyone interested should let Annie know, and she will try to get them a place. The cost is $69 a person, and the meeting time will be on Thanksgiving Day at 11.30.
Dale announced that today is the last day for the successful matching donation program, and she thanked all who participated.
Happy Money
Barry is happy to be back from their long biking trip in France. They enjoyed great weather, and saw the new Notre Dame. Unfortunately, Mary fell down and got bruised up pretty badly, but she's okay.
Scott welcomed our guest Ian Woerth, and thanked Ian for coming. Scott is also happy that his grandkids and his son are going to be spending Thanksgiving dinner with them.
Jim Jonell announced that Carol Whiteneck is going through intensive therapy, Jim is with her, they're doing as well as they can be expected, and their medical team is tremendous. They need a lot of help, and they're getting it.
Jack asked that we keep Gregg in our thoughts and prayers. Gregg's mother will be taken off life support today

Guy introduced Terry Rizzuti, a Vietnam War Veteran and Purple Heart awardee, who described his experiences before, during, and after the Vietnam War.
