Pumpkin Distribution set for Oct 26: Helpers needed!

The  students at Estes Park Elementary School look forward to the annual Pumpkin Distribution Day! We need helpers at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 at the school. No experience needed. Questions? Call or email Sue Fereday. The kids will thank you!

4th Thursday groups meet this week

The real work of a club happens at the committee level, and this week's meeting will give everyone the chance to engage in this important work. Following lunch and a brief business meeting, members will gather in groups related to their interests.

You can see what you indicated as your area of interest at the bottom of your Spoke every week. But, fear not! It's never too late to join in, try something new, or simply "shop" for a group.

Here are the club members who will lead the small group work at Thursday's meeting:

  • Dave Evans - International Service
  • Sue Fereday - Youth/New Generation Services
  • Karen Thompson - Fund Development
  • Karol Rinehart - Club Administration
  • Bill Solms - Sargeant-at-Arms
  • Rick Taylor - Programs
  • Scott Thompson - Membership
  • Roger Thorp - Community Service
Bring your energy, your ideas and your willingness to help the Rotary Club of Estes Park be a better club for all of its members. You can make a difference!

One clean rock!

Thanks to a tremendous response, the Community Service Committee, led by Roger Thorp, completed a rock-cleaning project Oct.19. A swarm of Rotarians descended on the Estes Park Rock on Route 36, donned goggles, gloves and masks, then applied water, chemicals, elbow grease and a sealant to the 16-year old granite slab. It's ready to greet tourists for another decade! Thanks to our district leadership for their support, to President Kathy for an amazing tailgate snack and to the Community Service volunteers.
The Rotary Club of Estes Park Works!
