Quentin Wedan
Owner
Quentin is a 1989 graduate of Estes Park High School, and recipient of the Rotary Scholarship at that time. He received his BS in Business from the U. of Colorado in Boulder in 1993, and earned his MBA at Regis University in 2000. He has enjoyed a career in Supply chain and logistics while working for companies like IBM and Arrow Electronics. He is now semi-retired and dedicating his time and effort to his local business, the Lazy B Chuckwagon and Show.
While growing up in in Estes Park, Quentin worked at the original Lazy B on Dry Gulch road for ten summers. He used the money he earned to pay his way through college. His wife Roxanne is a Colorado native who grew up in Longmont. They have been married 26 years and have one son, Grant.

Karl Clauss is a Rotarian visiting from Texas and is moving to Estes Park.
Andrea Escorcia is joining our club and has been through Orientation.
Karen McClure Evans was back with us along with her husband Dave Evans.
Karen awarded two seat sticker prizes of taffy.

Board Approves New Member Application
Andrea Escorcia Rodrigus
Andrea Escorcia Rodrigus has requested membership in our Club. Beth Weisberg and Bill Solms are her Sponsors. Andrea was born and raised in Estes Park and returned after completing her college education at Colorado State University where she earned a degree in sociology with an Interdisciplinary in Legal Studies. She wants to be an attorney and is preparing for the Lsat. It is a test of skills necessary for success in the first year of school. These skills include reading comprehension, reasoning, and writing. As Andrea prepares herself of law school she is working as a manager at a shop downtown, the Saddle & Surrey Motel, as well as Funding Coordinator at a Law Firm.
Andrea loves giving to others. She is currently applying for EVICS and the Hospital Foundation. She is a volunteer at a Fort Collins food bank. Her history of volunteer work includes the Nonprofit Resource Center, the Superintendent’s council, adviser to the family advisory board and Youth in Action.
According to club bylaws, if there are no objections within seven days of publication, the applicant shall be considered elected to membership.
Maui Fire Relief Assistance
The Rotary Foundation voted to send funds to District 5000 in Maui. If any Rotarians want to donate through our Foundation, please do so quickly (within the next two weeks are so) so we can disperse these much needed funds to the District.
You can also donate through the Rotary District 5000 Foundation, where a relief fund has been established. Foundation President Dave Hamil and Treasurer Sharon Amano will handle all donations. The Rotary District 5000 Foundation is a 501c3 organization and all donations are considered charitable.

Tom was able to go home several days ago and his wife, Linda, is taking excellent care of his foot, bandaging it twice a day. Tom is so appreciative to Dr. Van der Werf’s and the people at the hospital’s great care. He still does not feel up to attending meetings but may be watching on Thursday by Zoom.

Celebrating 150 year Anniversary

MacGregor Ranch will be celebrating its 150th anniversary of operations with a free community picnic on August 23, 2023 from 5 - 9 p.m.
Established in 1873 by Alexander and Clara MacGregor, the ranch is inviting the Estes Park community to come together and honor one of the earliest families who made many impacts on our town's development.
MacGregor Ranch has asked our club to provide as many volunteers as possible to direct parking before the event (and then stay for the fun)!

Food trucks will be available, or you can bring your own picnic dinner.
Dessert will be provided by MacGregor Ranch and You Need Pie.

Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and a sack meal.

Can You Help Us Find Solar Panels for Ukraine Project?
Decorated back solar panel, back with devices for 4 USB connectors, front of used solar panels with volunteers
Can you help locate Solar Panels for our Ukrainian Project? We are looking for smaller, older solar panels, preferably used (so we can take them out of the waste stream). These ideally would be 32 or 36 cell modules, 50-120 watts, around 18” by 40”. These panels will charge up to 4 USB devices at a time for Ukrainian citizens and defenders. Plus, they will be decorated on the backs with greetings, drawings, photos and other messages of encouragement to let the Ukrainians who receive them know that they will not be forgotten! Our Ukrainian friends are so grateful, not only for the utility of the converted solar panels, but for the priceless messages of support from America!
