July 7, 2022 Meeting Notes President Dennis Gellhaus rang the bell at 12:00 PM . Wayne Newsom gave the Invocation. President Dennis led the Pledge of Allegiance. Guests of Rotarians:
Jim Whiteneck introduced Lawrence MacElhenny participating on Zoom. Announcements:
- Ron Gordon announced that a $4,900 Grant was awarded to Amaro Tan camp in Albania.
- A Duck Race committee meeting will be held July 14 at 5:00 PM.
- A John Denver Tribute concert will be sponsored jointly by our club and the local Lions club in September.
- Tickets are for the September 3rd Concert are now on sale on the internet at JohnDenverTributeConcert2022
- The Rotary golf tournament for scholarships will be held Friday, September 16th.
- The club Foundation meeting will be held Thursday, July 21st at the Quality Inn at 1:30 PM.

Awards: Beth Weisberg presents the Spirit Award to Mel Rueppel Mel Rueppel receiving Spirit Award from Beth Weisberg,, last year's recipient Pete Sumey presents the Legacy Award to Jim Austin. Jim Austin receiving Legacy Award from Pete Sumey, last year's recipient Happy Money: - Tom Maher is glad to be back from serious knee surgery and several months in the hospital.

- Virgil Holtgrewe is glad to be back in person.
- Beth Weisberg was able to hike to Bluebird Lake after back surgery. She is happy to be Lame Duck.
- Jim Whiteneck is happy he is not running this meeting.
Program: Today’s speaker, Maggie Cotreau, is not able to be present due to Covid exposure. Annie filled in with a video documenting the early days of Rotary International creating the polio prevention program. President Dennis closed the club meeting with the 4 way test. |
