Bright Christmas Family Adoption
Our Club will be adopting a family from Bright Christmas again this year.
We will be adopting a large family
those are the hardest for Bright Christmas to cover
We don't have our assignment yet, but are starting to collection member donations now.
anyone wanting to participate, here's what you need to know:
We are trying to fund this from member donations rather than Projects funds, if possible.
Bright Christmas operates year-round
provides school supplies each new school year
as well as holiday presents to families in need at Christmas time.
If you contribute to Bright Christmas directly (or through our Club matching grants)
those contributions cannot be used for our adopted family
they go directly to Bright Christmas for their work overall.
To participate in our Club's adopted family holiday project
please make checks payable to Rotary Club of Estes Park
give those (or cash in any amount) to Gregg Jurgens.
The collection starts today and will continue through November 30, 2023.
Our adopted family will be assigned in late October or early November.
As soon as we have the list of family members and what they need, Beth will let everyone know. Once we have that information, anyone wanting to participate can
donate items from the list
gift cards (Visa, Walmart, etc.)
cash/checks.
We will have a wrapping party for anyone who wants to help wrap all the presents, sometime in the first week of December.
Please ask Beth any questions you may have: her email is weisberg.family@verizon.net. Thank you!
Rotary's Annual Pumpkin Distribution

Estes Park Elementary School

8:30 AM
This could be you distributing pumpkins to students
Our Rotary Club's annual pumpkin distribution at Estes Park Elementary School on Thursday, October 19, at 8:30 a.m. We will have 510 pumpkins to unload from Sue Fereday's trailer and set up like a "pumpkin patch" in the front parking lot of the school. After we're done, anyone who wants to stay can wtheatch the schoolchildren come out class by class and watch their excitement as they each select a free pumpkin to take home. It's a lot of fun.
To volunteer,
let Beth know you will be coming
Her email is weisberg.family@verizon.net
or tell her at this Thursday’s meeting.
If you haven't RSVP'd, but still want to come, you are welcome-- the more, the merrier!
Hi! I want to make sure you know about the ISABELLA BIRD play that will happen the first weekend of November at Hempel Auditorium. It's called Thunder is the Mountain's Voice, and here's the ticket link. I hope there will be many Rotary members there! https://fineartsguildoftherockies.ticketspice.com/thunder-show. Thank you!
