Estes Park High School's Give Next Program with Marsha Weaver's Students Presenting Lily-Ann Smith & Anna Roberts-Briggs Lily-Ann Smith is a senior at Estes Park High School. She has been in Youth in Action for two years. She joined because she wanted to help gain awareness of local non profits in the Estes Valley School District. She has a passion for making change in her local community and school. Recently that has been through suicide prevention education, and fighting for equal learning opportunities. My name is Anna Roberts-Briggs and I am a senior at Estes Park High School. Aside from Youth In Action, I am president of Key Club, a member of the Student Council, and one of the founders of the Talk! About Social Justice Club. I love getting involved with my community and look forward to pursuing political science at Suffolk University next year. The students will be presenting on their student group, Youth in Action, who held a Bingo Night to raise funds to give back to local non-profit organizations. During December, Estes Park High School’s Youth in Action hosted a Bingo Night at the high school. It made the perfect Friday night for people of all ages, as children, teens, and adults all won great local prizes. BAM, another organization at the high school, handled the concessions. While Youth In Action sold bingo cards and raffle tickets, they sold walking tacos, making them quite a profit of their own. With the proceeds they will partner with Give Next, a nonprofit that helps students work through grant applications and introduces them to a variety of nonprofits in the area. Our Club will match up to $500 for their Give Next project. Our program this week will be held in person, but a Zoom link will be provided. Click on the link below to be admitted.
