This week's program will include a presentation describing the proposed Estes Valley Community Center (EVCC) by David Batey. It will provide an overview of the building, programs, and costs, comparisons to other Community Centers in Colorado, and consideration of points of view in favor of and opposed to the EVCC. The goal is to prepare voters to be fully informed about the Estes Valley Community Center November 3 election ballot issue.
David Batey is active in several local organizations including the Estes Park Non-Profit Resource Center, Estes Valley Amateur Radio Club and Friends of the Estes Valley Community Center. He also chairs two Estes Park Economic Development Corporation Committees: Competitive Broadband and Strategic Planning. Additionally, Batey is Coordinator of the Support Our Community Center Election Issue Committee.
In addition, League of Women Voters Past President Jean McGuire will provide a brief overview of several upcoming ballot issues.
