Estes Recycles Day Coming Up Soon

Estes Recycles Day will happen on Saturday, August 8th this year, including the Shred-A-Thon, an important fundraiser for our scholarship program. For the Shred, we are good with Volunteers. Once the flow slows down, people may leave as needed.  Tara would like to encourage a few people to return at noon to help clean up, too. To volunteer, see Tara.

Rotary Innovative Summit
in Fort Collins at the Hilton
June 5th - 7th

Our District Conference is coming up June 5th - the 7th. This is a meeting where you can enjoy a weekend filled with thought-provoking speakers, hands-on experiences, and meaningful connections that last a life time.  Our Club is offering five members the opportunity to attend this conference with $150 off the registration fee. As of May 18th the rates increased to $350. Full Conference Registration includes the meet & greet, all meals, speakers, and breakout sessions for the entire conference. This does not include any recreational activities or your hotel room.

Go to http://rotary5440.org. Look on the home page for 2026 District Conference. Sign up for the conference and bring your receipt to Gregg Jugens. He can reimburse you the $150. I really hope five of you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity that the Board is offering you.

Club Historian Paula Edwards

Paula Edwards has accepted the newly created position of Historian. Paula's first job will be to organize a newly discovered collection of newspaper clippings and pictures, so when we celebrate 125 years of existence, members and guests can see where we have been and what we have accomplished. Be sure to tell Paula how grateful we are to her.

Meeting Notes 5-28-26

 Program:

Doug Frisbee presented the Salud Clinic and its Foundation, describing the medical, dental, and mental health needs they satisfy for our Underserved adults and children.   There is a great need for funding to continue to subsidize this health care for the people who make our Economy work, given ever-rising costs and for many years flat funding, that is now declining, from the governments and grants.

Adjournment

We concluded with the four-way test.
