January 8, 2022 Meeting Notes President Jim Whiteneck called the meeting to order at 12:00 pm. Jack Boatman gave the invocation. Jim led the Pledge of Allegiance. Madison Casey led the song, “Jingle Bells”. Guests of Rotarians: Jackie Williamson, and Travis Machalek with the Town of Estes Park. Announcements: - The District needs 600 additional signatures by January 15th in order to get the Rotary License Plate approved by the State.
- The Duck Race Committee Meeting is today at 5:00 pm on Zoom.
- One of our new members, Scott Robins, presented a short biography of himself.
- Anne Slack read a thank you note and progress report from one of our academic scholarship recipients, Isabella Fanucchi.

Happy Money: Jim Austin is happy that he is going to Arizona where he can wear shorts. Bill Solms is happy it is snowing because Marianne likes it. Ron Gordon is glad that his rabbit is back. According to Ron, “Our resident rabbit came back and plowed through 2 feet of snow to get into his perfect little den right off our pub!”. Program: Anne Slack introduced program speakers Jackie Williamson, Town Clerk, and Travis Machalek, Town Administrator, who provided a detailed discussion on the local issues in the upcoming April elections.
