The Estes Park Rotary will welcome Alyssa Bergman on Thursday for a program on options for long-term health care.
Alyssa has been at Estes Park Medical Center for over 6 years working in various departments that include Prospect Park Living Center as a part-time social worker, EPMC social worker, discharge planner, and part-time Hospice volunteer coordinator. This past spring, she became the full-time Resident and Family Services Director at Prospect Park Living Center. Alyssa received her undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and her Master’s degree from Colorado State University.
In 2000, almost 10 million people needed some form of long-term care in the United States. Almost 70% of people turning age 65 will need long-term care at some point in their lives. Alyssa will provide basic information on long-term care and what Prospect Park Living Center has to offer. Everyone’s path is unique and is based upon your preferences and circumstances. Alyssa will discuss options, what to look for and how to get started.
FIRST TUESDAY will be here before we know it! What's FIRST TUESDAY? Well, as you know the local business owners of Estes Park have repeatedly responded to innumerable requests for donations - donations which end up enriching the lives of folks living right here in the Estes community, including yours and mine.
Wouldn't it be fun to enrich back? Pay it forward in a sense? Give before asking? We'd like to do just that and support our local restaurants by having lunch on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month at a different venue. So if you're available please join fellow Rotarians for FIRST TUESDAY at Molly Bs, September 2, 12 p.m., for good food with good friends.
If you notice a name missing from the email distribution list, please invite them as well - as we reach out in appreciation to Paras, owner, and Sabir, manager at Molly Bs. Would be great to see you there! So if you can make it, please RSVP to linda.tippett@gmail.com - so we can get a head count.
