Results After Second Workshop on February 27, 2025:
1. Update Bylaws as needed
2. Rotary Insurance: contact Susan Faraday
3. Audit: Yearly. Gregg, Longley, and Karol will do the audit this year (2025).
4. How do we get members to volunteer to accomplish the functions listed above?
(A) Make a list of all members vocations and interests and approach those members who may have an interest or experience in a specific subject area.
5. Current meeting format, meeting time, meeting location, menu, cost of meals, speaker gifts, are all working and acceptable and should remain the same.
6. Dues cost too high?
(A) All items included in the dues amount are necessary.
(B)An itemized breakdown of the items covered by the dues should be shared annually in writing with members.
(C) New member recruitment: Members should be reminded that they can bring potential members to meetings to see what Rotary does.
(D) Potential members get three meals paid for by Rotary.
(E) Fund created to help pay for dues is problematic and can set a precedent that would be difficult to implement consistently.
7. How to ensure we have President and Big Duck roles filled;
(A). Start seeking to fill these roles at least a couple years in advance.
8. How do we communicate with members since the Spoke is not being read?
(A) Format the Spoke differently. (Barry Hannigan will try a new format this week)
(B) Too much information can be overwhelming.
(C) Prioritize upcoming events and items in a box at the top of the page.
(D) Details of meeting and other news below.
8. Special speakers:
(A) The special speakers could be a fundraiser and could draw non Rotarians to attend.
(B) Two or three special speakers per year.
