Paul Maley is currently in his 14th year of teaching Elementary Music and 3rd as the Estes Park Elementary Music Teacher. Maley is also the Chair Elect for the Colorado Music Educators Association General Music Council and presents professional development to schools districts, colleges, and other professional music organizations around Colorado. He is an active performer around the state, composer, published writer, and music lover. Paul’s wife Jen is the Librarian at Estes Park Elementary School where their 3 children attend. Amelia Bryant is a senior at Estes Park High School (EPSH). She has been co-directing the Mountain Echo Choir for 2 years and works regularly in Maley's classroom with all ages of students. She is active in musical theater, most recently playing the leading role in EPHS's production of Chicago, Grandma in The Adams Family, along with many others. Bryant is a talented singer, guitar player, piano player, and all around musician. Amelia is planning on attending Oregon State in the Fall in the pre-med program.
The Mountain Echo Choir is a musical ensemble that features 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The choir performs music of all ages and genres that focuses on messages of positivity, peace, and love. This performance will feature Ballet Renaissance, a non-profit ballet company here in Estes Park led by Brianna Furnish. The choir will also be joined by EPSD Superintendent, Ruby Bode, for a holiday number!

Scott Robbins announced the December 21 Duck Race meeting.
A subcommittee has been formed to study reorganizing.
We need a new graphic designer for the logo so tell Scott of any candidate ideas.
Pete Sinnott congratulated Karen and Scott Thompson on their clothing and personal items drive for migrants who showed up in Denver.
He said there was a great response from our club.
Pete then proposed we dedicate January month of Happy Money to fund this further.

We voted by hand and it was nearly unanimous to do this.

Happy Money:
Ron Gordon said our club scholarship dinner at Twin Owls was fabulous and he will go every year. The food, venue, staff, and music were excellent.
Bill Smith enjoyed Ruby Bode’s singing in the Christmas concert last weekend.
Beth Weisberg enjoyed our 5th Thursday November 30 visit to the Observatory, hosted by Mike Connolly.
Jim Austin and Pete Sinnott were happy for Gordon Slack’s successful back surgery last week.
Annie Slack said yes, she was happy
Gordon’s surgery was over and his leg pain is gone!
She also put in money for Gregg Jurgens finding his number in the Spoke.
Jack Overly’s three happy items were conveyed by Annie.
On Pearl Harbor Day today, he remembers his Uncle Frank died there on the USS Oklahoma and years later technology using Jack’s DNA allowed Frank’s remains to be identified and interred at his home in North Carolina. Recently more remains were identified and will be added to his casket today, Dec. 7
He is happy that Paula Edwards is back in our club.
He remembered Dec 7th as the date of his wife Mary's, bilateral knee replacements.

Scott Robbins was sorry for both Pete Sinnott and Lee Lasson injuring ribs on falls.

Program:
Annie introduced our program. Kathryn Severns Avery told us about the organization she started in the last 3 years to give first responders a respite place. After her husband’s tragic death by a fugitive car chase, the first responders showed such amazing care of her. With her were the couple who administer her Restoration Ranch as a get away for first responders and Valor Vacations also for first responders to get away- Steve and Kaylyn Kruger. Her program concluded with a standing ovation by our members - this was one of the most moving and impressive programs we have had.

Gifts for Our Adopted Bright Christmas Family
On December 4, we delivered 5 large boxes of brightly wrapped gifts to Bright Christmas for our "adopted" family. Many thanks to the 15 generous Club members who contributed a total of $1,105 to make this family's holiday brighter, and to Tim and Sharon Moore for helping to wrap all of those gifts!
Six other Club members donated a total of $1,100 for Bright Christmas under the Foundation matching program. Those funds didn't go for our adopted family, but did support Bright Christmas' other efforts, for a total (after the match) of $2,200.
