Where will our efforts take us next year,
we (The International Committee) ask?

The past year saw successes in Ecuador, Haiti, Albania, India…… thanks to Ron’s leadership. At this inflection point, we’d like to ask what places/projects you would like to propose going into the new year.

Typically, great projects come to our attention as the year unfolds. There most likely will be repeat requests for ones we have already served, like Amaro Tan summer camp. We seem to give first priority to consideration projects championed by someone in our club or a sister club.

Do you have ones you are thinking about or know about that you would like to put forward?

The first project last year came from the Boulder Rotary for Haiti. Which will be our first this coming year? Do you have any preferences for investigating any particular country or projects for next year?
Here are a few to get you thinking:
Ideas from all are appreciated! Interested in being on the International Committee? It's fulfilling to propose and consider International projects. Contact Chuck or Dale Bonza or Ron Gordon.

We look forward to receiving your ideas by July 1 as we begin the new year. From there we can focus and discuss what projects could be in our future.

A Saturday Tour Event

Hello, friends. As we start the 2025-26 Rotary year we have a wonderful opportunity for a dynamite event!.

Neal Standard, fellow Rotarian, part-time Estes and Blackhawk resident, historian, and retired history teacher, has offered to lead a tour of up to 20 Estes Park Rotarians and spouses/significant others. This all day tour will feature stops in Meeker Park, Ward, Caribou Ranch, Nederland, Blackhawk,  and Central City. including a tour of the Gilpin History Museum.

We will meet at 8 a.m. at the Estes Park parking structure to carpool. We plan to be back in Estes around 3 p.m. Please be prepared to walk around half a mile total distance around Blackhawk and Central City. Expenses for the day will include lunch, and a small fee for the history museum.

I will be sending out a short survey in the next few days to get your preference of upcoming Saturdays to do this as well as who will be interested in attending this fun and illuminating event!

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you for this event on an upcoming Saturday in July. Make sure to thank Neal for all his hard work to make this a special day.
