Rotary Weekly Luncheon
Place: American Legion
 Time:  Lunch served from 11:30 - 12:00

 Parking:  American Legion and the church only.
 
Chris Woodruff
 
Chris Woodruff is the retired Assessor in Weld County Colorado. He makes his home In Greeley. He completed a forty year career in property appraisal and assessment, with work experience in three Colorado counties and the Colorado Division of Property Taxation. Chris has a B.S. degree in Technical Management from Regis University.
 
Chris became a Rotarian in 2000 when he joined the Rotary Club of Greeley - Centennial.  In the club he has served as Secretary, President and Foundation Chair.  He currently serves as Club Treasurer. He was named club Rotarian of the Year three times.
 
At the district level, Chris served as Assistant Governor for the Estes Park, Colorado clubs, Awards Committee chairman, TRF mentor and as a member of the District Foundation Committee.  He has also presented at several District Assemblies and has served as a facilitator at High Country PETS and at the Governor Elect Training for Zones 26/27.
 
Chris served as District Governor for the 2019-2020 and the 2020-2021 Rotary years, primarily, as a result of the pandemic. In 2023 he will become the District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair.
 
He is married to Karoline, who is also a Rotarian.  Karoline is a past Club President and past Assistant Governor. Karoline retired from a career in higher education in 2016.
 
Chris and Karoline are Bequest Society members and major donors. They have attended Rotary International Conferences in Montreal, Atlanta, Toronto and Hamburg.
 
They have three grown sons, three daughters-in-law and one beautiful granddaughter.

  • After months and months of planning, the Duck Race is coming into full bloom!
    • We are extremely excited to see the Race back in the river this year.… Can’t wait!!! (Big QUACK)
  • Tara will have the details regarding our town cleanup this Saturday, April 30.
    • Is there a reward for filling the most orange bags???

April 21, 2022 Meeting Notes
 
President Jim Whiteneck rang the bell at 12:02.
Karen Thompson gave the Invocation.
President Jim led the Pledge of Allegiance
Madison Casey accompanied the singing of April showers.

Announcements:
  • Tara Moenning announced the Spring cleanup on Saturday at 9:00 at the Visitor Center.
  • President Jim announced that there will be no committee meetings on Thursday,  April 28th, the fourth Thursday.
    • There will be a video instead. (Since changed to presentation by Chris Woodruff.)
  • Bill Solms announced that Karen Thompson will serve as President Elect for 2022/23.
    • The search continues for Secretary and Treasurer.
  • Karol Rinehart has rescheduled Presidents Night for Thursday, June 16th
  • Ron Gordon and Chuck Bonza gave a report on Rotary funds for the Ukraine.
    • To date, our club members have donated a total of $18,248 thru Rotary International
    • Many European Rotarian clubs adjacent to Ukraine are actively putting our donations to use providing funds for refugees.

  • Big Duck Beth asked for volunteers to help with the Duck Squat during the Duck Race.

  • Annie Slack thanked all of the Duck Race volunteers for collecting 316 merchant prizes.

Spring Clean Up Day
Saturday, April 30, 2022
9 AM
 
Announcement:
  • Save the date.  Just donate an hour and a half to make our roads/trails/ etc. look so much better.
  • Tara will bring route assignments and bags to the meeting on Thursday, April 28th so people can pick them up there if they prefer. 
  • If you wait until Saturday groups and volunteers are asked to meet at 9 am at the east side of the Visitor’s Center for instructions, route assignments, and distribution of orange bags.
