Christian Hageseth III, MD
 
Dr. Hageseth is a retired physician who lives in Fort Collins.  His program will include information about himself, Depression, Parkinson’s Disease, Infectious Disease, Doctors, Patients, Families and the Future.  He has an extensive resume.  A summary of his education includes a BA in Chemistry, a BS in Medicine, an MD fro the University of Rochester, an Internship in Pediatrics, a Designated Naval Flight Surgeon at the US Navy Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Fl and a Residency in Psychiatry.
 
His work history includes
  • 30 years practicing inpatient and outpatient psychiatry
  • 10 years part-time Emergency Room Physician, 3 years practice in Family Medicine
  • 2 + years clinical investigator working on a two antidepressant pharmaceutical trials
  • Recently he has served as  the Executive Director of The Parkinson’s Support Program in Larimer County from 2013 to 2019.
He lists as his personal highlights:
  • Key presenter at World Congress of Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, and American Psychological Association in 1995 where he presented his award-winning video program, Beyond Stigma, The Compassionate Application of Electro-convulsive Therapy.
  • Participated in three month-long medical programs from 1999 to 2002 addressing medical needs in al Honduras and Guatemala.
  • Founded a charity in 2017 to offer holistic medical expertise to persons with Parkinson’s disease in Uganda.Visited Jinja, Uganda to confer with NGOs interested in holistic practices for Parkinson’s.

School is out in most areas of the country and we are approaching summer for the busiest season in Estes Park.
  • Your kids/grandkids will probably be visiting soon.
  • It will be a very busy time for all.
Your Club leaders have been busy as well. We are planning a transition into next year which hopefully will be very exciting and rewarding.
 
Thanks to everyone for all your incredible work and friendship this past year!

Jim Whiteneck announced the unfortunate passing of Howard Marco, a longtime member.  There will be a memorial service on June 25 at 11:00 at St. Marks.
 
Scott Thompson told his joke to good effect.
 
Happy Money:
  • Wayne Newsom is happy for his 93rd birthday and contributed $7 extra dollars as down payment for the next seven years.
  • Karol Rinehart is happy that her friend Dale Bonza is here.
  • Carl Robicheaux is happy that Scott didn’t tell the joke last week.
  • Karen Thompson is happy that her neighbor Bill Kehl is here.

Dennis Gellhaus introduced Tom Day, who presented a program “Ice at the North Pole,” a summary of recent ice conditions at the pole, Arctic ocean and Antartica Continent.
