Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world?

Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who share your drive to give back.

Our 1.2 million-member organization started with the vision of one man—Paul P. Harris. The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member.

Rotarians Make a Difference in Cheyenne Community

Rotary Club of Cheyenne members exemplify qualities of integrity, expertise, and a commitment

to service. We are so proud of the leadership and service that so many of our fellow Rotarians

are showing in this initiative! Especially to Rotarians Brian Heithoff, Co-Chair of the steering

committee as well as other steering committee members Randy Bruns, Kim Withers,

Paula Poythress, JJ Chen; to the many who serviced on committees; and to those shown here -

Kirsten Malm, Kim Withers, Jim Walter, and JJ Chen for leading four of eight strategic initiatives!

You are ALL “People of Action! “

Lolkisale Water Project in Tanzania Completed

The following email from Rotary International is confirmation that Global Grant

GG1524200, the Lolkisale Water Project in Tanzania is officially closed. I want

to offer thanks to all of you for raising funds for the projects. Without your efforts

we would not have been successful in accumulating the matching funds from our

Rotary District and Rotary International. Please pass these thanks along to all the

Rotarians and friends that helped you.

It was an honor to work on your behalf in completing the project. I know it must

have seemed like the project would never end, but it was successfully finished

and we actually accomplished almost twice as much with your money as we had

planned. Not only did we install rainwater catchment tanks and gutters, we also

were able to drill a well in the village with the funds remaining. This was made

possible by the tireless work of our friends in the Arusha Rotary Club, in particular

Lucy and George Vrontamitis, their associate Zenon Gasper, and my close friend

Michael Shotii of Arusha and Lalkisale, and Rebeca Mendoza with Rotary International.

We completed a great project and without all your help it would not have happened.

I hope you are all as proud as I am.

Rotary Friday Food Bag Fill Day

Rotary Club of Cheyenne to be part of the bag filling for Friday Food Bag on Wednesday January 23rd

We’ll show up at the back side of the Element Church (600 East Carlson) at 5:15.

It’s not uncommon that we go to Uncle Charlie’s for dinner after the filling – we can all do that, too (Dutch treat).

Brush Up On Your Trivia

The Cranium Cup is our annual fundraiser supporting our local foundation endowment fund.

The endowment fund provides grants for local projects throughout the community.

Teams gather to show off their knowledge in all things trivia with the hopes of earning  the

bragging rights and possession of the of the Cranium Cup trophy for one year.

The event will take place on March 9, 2019.

Event sponsors are needed as well as teams are needed to make the event a success.
