This week we give a warm welcome our new District Governor, John Reyes to discuss what to expect this year as Rotary Connects the World.

We passed around the clipboard for volunteers for the Stuff The Bus project. SMF School District will provide us with buses that will be placed at Target, Office Depot and Giant Eagle. The event will take place during tax free weekend on Friday, August 2nd, from 12-6 and Saturday, August 3rd, from 10-6. Our Rotary club is joining forces with N.I.C.E. and a few other service organizations in the city to help make this the best it can be! Please look for the clipboard to come around once again this week. 

 

 

Congratulations to Bob Oborn who received his Paul Harris Fellow + 1 pin last week at our meeting! Thank you for your support to the Rotary Foundation!

 

 

Last week Terri Heckman came and spoke to the club about the Batter Women's Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties. She shared stories of  how they have been able to help many women, children and even men over the years start over and find ways to live life without fear. She thanked our club and the cluster for their support in helping to replace some security doors and cameras to help the residents feel safer. Once the cluster project is funded we will be looking for volunteers to help install the doors. More to come on that later.
