Olivia Saltzmann was married Saturday, November 28, 2020. She is now Olivia Smedi!! Congratulations to Olivia and her husband! Best wishes for a beautiful wedded life!

Dick Hall thanked everyone who has contributed to the Rotary Foundation. More than $11,000 has been donated thus far! Our Club has the BEST Rotarians! Thank you!

Highlights from last week's program:

Our host, Carrie Leising shared her happiness moment. She has been baking all sorts of goodies and delivering them to friends and neighbors. Her happiness reflects the gratitude of those receiving her gifts. Carrie, thank you for spreading joy!

She introduced Tiffany Lewis, our speaker. Carrie told us how she met Tiffany in a shop where she and the owner were having a conversation about Tiffany. Carrie learned about Tiffany's new book, was intrigued and asked her to be the speaker for our club. Way to go Carrie!

Tiffany's topic, "More Meaningful Marketing" explained her theory that a successful digital marketing business occurs when you merge personal and professional branding. She believes in using storytelling, authenticity and strategy to build long-term, lasting relationships. For a personal brand, you share your image, mission values and hobbies. For a professional brand, you share your business image, mission values and vision. When these concepts merge, the days of hard selling fade away. Prospects and customers want to know YOU, your WHY, and wish to create long-term relationships beyond the transactions. When you share your story, you attract the right people and the right people will want to do business with you.

Tiffany shared that you must be authentic when you share your story. When you do that on-line, only about 30% of the dialogue should be about your business; the rest should be stories that people can relate to. When you tell your story in an impactful way, you ask yourself: 1. What makes me, me? 2. Do my stories share truth? 3. Are my stories reliable? 4. Do my stories have intention? [Remember our 4 Way Test!]

She says that to create impact you need to: Be clear on what you offer; know your clients' pains; be a solution; get personal; get comfortable being uncomfortable; take intentional action; be who you are; go ALL-IN; achieve results. Be a resource, not a sales pitch!

Her book, Overcoming Mediocrity - Unstoppable Women, provides details and lots of ideas to help others overcome mediocrity.

Our thanks to Tiffany for her insightful presentation. It is encouraging to know that many people are still willing to forge a new path to greatness and personal satisfaction with life and work.
