Celebrating 45 Years of Service

Stories from Our Club
Unite for Good March 11, 2026
Good Afternoon!

Meeting this Wednesday!
The Center, 4157 Hudson Drive, Stow, 7:45a.m.
Come Early for Breakfast 7:15 a.m. $15.00

Please send all social media items to Annie.  She is doing a great job keeping our Facebook page updated. Please send any pictures of projects or events to her so that we can get people excited about our club.  Speaking of social, every month with a 5th Wednesday, we replace our morning meeting with a social gathering in the evening.

A friendly reminder to all new members with blue sheets, our board meeting is the second Friday of every month.  Our next meeting is Friday March 13, 2026 at City Hall at 7:15 am.  All members are welcome.  Yes, it is another Friday the 13th.

Service before self starts with you doing service, let's get out there and make a difference!!

Thank you!!
Openings on the Board of Directors to be filled

It's that time of year when we have to recognize Board members for their service and then nominate and elect new Board members.  At the end of June, 3 members will be ending their terms and new members are needed.  Those members are Annette Oborn, Dick Hall, and John Pribonic.  At the next Board meeting on March 13th, a Nominating Committee will be formed to find the replacements.  The committee will comprise of the current President, Bob Sweitzer, President Elect, Mary Parr, 2 other Board members, and 2 club members chosen by a majority of the Board.  If you are interested in being considered for a position on the committee, please reach out to either myself or a member of the Board and let us know.  Also, if you would like to be considered for a position to be a Board member, let us know so that you may be considered and your name presented in a formal nomination.

Tentatively, April 22nd meeting will be the day for the elections to be held.  Floor nominations and seconds will be accepted through the meeting on April 15th.  This is a great way to serve the club and be an integral part of the process.

Thank you.

Grant Training Classes Being Held

Please consider participating in the grant training tonight of on the 21st.  Reach out to Patrick Scherer with the Hudson Club to get accepted into the event for Wednesday evening.  We need as many qualified members as possible.

It is hard to imagine that a year has gone by and the Grant Training Seminars are being offered.  It is mandatory that 2 members of the Club participate in the seminars.  The particulars can be found on the District website with a link for the final training session on Saturday, March 21st at 9:30am-11:30am.

Our Club has just completed a successful grant for the 2025-2026 year with the golf simulator for the field house at the High School.  Our club members have been generous enough in the past that we also are eligible for the 2026-2027 Rotary year as well.  We need to have the 2 members attend the training and have a good idea for a worthwhile project that will support the community and fit into one of the 7 areas of Rotary Focus.

Please check out the District website and sign up for the training sessions.    Thank you.

Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Rotary for Reading 2026

Each year, the President-Elects of the five Districts in Ohio have a fundraising challenge. This year, the District Governors-Elect chose Rotary for Reading 2026. This project supports Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and making reading accessible, impactful, and exciting for Ohio children. Donations are being collected to help pay for a monthly book for a child to age 5. Information has been sent to each club President about how to donate. You can learn more about this exciting project by going to OhioImaginationLibrary.org. Please reach out to District Governor Elect Terri Speck with any questions at tspeckrotary@gmail.com.Please help to support the Districts efforts to contribute to the Imagination Library.

The link to donate is:  www.Ohioimaginationlibrary.org/donate

Please take time to contribute to enhance a child's life with reading.

I would like for the Club to make a contribution in the amount of $500 to the fundraising challenge and will be raising this at the next Board of Directors meeting on Friday.

Special Notes for Members
  1.  The Special Note this week is that we need host families to help with the Rotary Youth Exchange program.
  2. Please think about the Club's Foundation and what you would like to do in order to provide a legacy for future generations of Rotarians.  I believe that it is important for us to consider a capital campaign to build a nest egg that can be grown for the future.  Our club founders had a dream 46 years ago for the club and it has prospered over the years.
  3. Soon, a survey will be presented to the members of the club to direct our future endeavors for the club.  Please watch your email over the next few weeks and participate when you receive it.
