Have fun and spread out!!
I can almost hear the groaning as some of our "seasoned" members read this! I know you all have grown fond of the table you sit at and the people you sit with, but it is time to expand and make some new tablemates. We are growing and that is fantastic!! But that also means we need to add another table. I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Don't be that person!! The person that refuses to help us expand and won't help spread out our seating to accommodate our growth. I am calling on you to be a change agent and be willing to make a new table, your table. Those that step up may even be rewarded!! "Let him that would move the world, first move himself." - Socrates (Shameless, I know. devil)
Constitutional Law
Brad Jagger was our Announcer last week and he did a great job! Annette lead us in singing to Marissa Williams for her birthday and we also sang to Janel!

We welcomed Mike Gentithes, Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Akron as our speaker and Brad shared his Rotary why. He looks forward to getting up and sharing breakfast with like minds and going out in service with friends. Brad then tried unsuccessfully several times to pronounce our speakers last name while introducing him, but once he gave up, he shared that Mike has been published in law reviews across the country, including the Georgia Law Review, Missouri Law Review, Tennessee Law Review, Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law, Review of Banking & Financial Law, and Willamette Law Review. He makes frequent presentations to bar associations on topics in constitutional law, criminal law and appellate practice.

He earned an LL.M. degree in legal theory at New York University School of Law. He earned a J.D. degree summa cum laude from DePaul University College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and managing editor of the law review. Gentithes graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University, where he studied political science and philosophy. He is an avid swimmer and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

He spoke to us about some current constitutional law issues that are currently with the Supreme Court and what they mean. It was very interesting!

Rotary Foundation Forms
Rick Archer, Treasurer of our Foundation shared that he has made some forms to streamline and help him stay organized. From now on if you are purchasing items on behalf of the Rotary Foundation, use our tax exempt form so you do not have to pay taxes and can save some money for our Club.

Additionally, if you purchase something on behalf of the Foundation and need to be reimbursed, there is a form to fill out and you will submit that along with a copy of the receipt to Rick Archer and he will issue you a check. You can mail or email him the paperwork once completed.

Again, both of these forms are available for pick from the Sgt. at Arms and we are working on making them available on our website as well.
