CALLING ALL ROTARIANS!! COFFEE NEEDED!!
PLEASE BRING CANS OF COFFEE TO OUR MEETING!! PLEASE BRING CANS OF COFFEE TO OUR MEETING!!

During the winter months the Haven of Rest's most needed item is coffee. It does not matter what kind if coffee, they just need it. Let's show them how great we can all be and help the homeless during the harshest weather of the year. Bob Oborn is leading the charge and will collect and deliver our donations.

Vitalia Senior Living Center
Amy Martin, Executive Director of Vitalia Senior Living Center was our speaker last week.  She has a degree in Long-term Healthcare, lives in Cuyahoga Falls and has been a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Rotary for five years.

She explained that the center will receive the Mayor's Award of the Chamber of Commerce next month and is appreciative of that.  Amy explained that they offer a full range of services from 2 bedroom, 2 bath villas to apartments; assisted living and memory care units.  The monthly fee is inclusive of meals and housing.  There is a restaurant where residents can order whatever they want to eat from 7:00 a.m.  to 7:00 p.m.  There is also a Bistro where they can have a snack all day.  Housekeeping, a  pool, consierge services, a fitness room a theater, bocci ball court and outdoor TV are all included.  What is not included is the resident's own health insurance, renter's insurance or phone.  It is pet friendly and is restricted to people who are 55 and older who have the ability to pay about $4000 per month privately.  There are also safety features in each location looking for changes in health. The club received a great tour of the facility.
