Meeting Summary from Last Week:

Our group welcomed Greg Ervin, MPH (Rotarian from Jackson Ohio!). Greg provided a follow-up to his June 17, 2020 discussion with us of the COVID pandemic.

Ohio suspended its mask requirements other than healthcare facilities. All emergency restrictions expire on June 2, 2021. It will be better to wear a mask in situations in which you are not sure of the vaccinated status of others you may be in close contact with for extended periods of time. Follow a basic public health concept --- there is no such thing as 'safe sex'; there is only 'safer sex'. Remain cautious in crowed situations. Keep a mask handy.

8. No need to quarantine if you are exposed to a COVID positive person.

7. You will keep your family and friends safe.

6. You will be able to renew travel plans.

Thousands of dollars have been disbursed to help disadvantaged members of our local communities! Our community groups have sent several notes of thanks during the past months for our help with feeding those experiencing food insecurities. May 2021 will be our final month for collecting for our Breakfast Giving Fund. We are planning to begin in-person meetings at Silver Lake Country Club the second Wednesday in June! Details for re-opening will be shared as they are known.
