Happy New Year!!!

Wishing everyone a joyous and prosperous 2026.  It has been great to have some time off and be with family the past couple of weeks.  But now it is time to get back to the needs of Rotary and push our second wind and complete the last half of the Rotary year.  The Club is still in need of a President Elect (PE) for the 2026-2027 year.  That person needs to be identified so that there is time to register for the PETS Training in March.   I will be asking members for names of outstanding members to speak with for this important task.  

A major statewide project for the PE's is to participate in the drive for Rotary for Reading 2026.  Rotary has partnered with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Ohio for the time period of January 1 to mid March to collect contributions for this wonderful program.  I can say personally that my grandson loves to receive the monthly books in the mail and we sit and read them over and over.  Now, with another infant in the household, we look forward to receiving books for him as well.  All of the funds collected will stay local to Ohio.  Contributions to the District will be split among the counties within the District.  Contributions in the name of the Club will provide books for children in the county in which the Club is located.  A flyer has been created and will be sent to all members along with the minutes of the next meeting.

All members of the Board and Committee Chairpersons should prepare to address the Club on January 14 when we host our First Club Assembly of 2026.  It is important to provide this vital information to the members to gain a better understanding of the Club and what we are doing.  I am sure that it will be insightful and interesting to all members in attendance.  I highly recommend that your mark you calendars to be at this meeting.
