I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July celebration! I saw many of you as I rode in the parade. What fun! A special thank you to my friend Mary Louisa L'Hommedieu for driving me in her beautiful convertible. 

 

This week we welcome Christin Seher from Bright Star Books, a nonprofit organization focused on increasing ownership of books for children in Akron, targeting low-income children.

 

Anthony Colucci talked to us last week us about the habits of happy people and had 7 to share with us. They all tied in very nicely with our Service Above Self motto, like, don't let the road rage take over and let the person in even if they knew to move over because there lane was going away due to construction or merging. This one I will have to continue to work on...... Or tip when you get carryout, open the door for people, and pay a compliment to a stranger, just to name a few. Thank you Anthony!

 

The more we grow, the more we can help! Last Wednesday we pinned Steve Stimmel as a new member of our club. Welcome Steve!

 

CONGRATULATIONS to Bill Choler as District 6630's newest Paul Harris Society member! Bill was recognized at our meeting last week and presented with a certificate and "special accessory" for his Rotary pin. (I have no idea what to call it ) Do you know what being a Paul Harris Society member takes? Ask Bill! 

 

Marty Tass has been in charge of our Stow Adopt-a-Spot at the City Center for several years now and it continues to get better and better. THANK YOU Marty for your dedication to this project for helping to Keep Stow Beautiful! We appreciate this and all you do!
