After President, Annie Hanson led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, she welcomed announcer, Brad Jagger.
He thanked Steve Dunton and Mary Dula for getting us all checked in and welcomed visitor, Doug Denton.
Wedding Anniversaries:  Congratulate Bob and Jill Sweitzer for 34 years of marriage and Amber and Jerad Zibritosky as they celebrate 6 years.
October Birthdays:  Carrie Leising led us in singing to Tom Bahr Mary Dula and Bill Choler who all have birthdays this month.  If you see Bruce Redmon and Suzanne Garrett also wish them a happy birthday.
Drawing:  Doug Denton drew the winning card from the President's Table but then drew the 2 of spades.
Annie started an announcer clipboard around so that people could sign up for the next several weeks.
Dave Renninger reminded everyone that tonight is our night at the Foodbank.
Bob Oborn asked people to sign a clipboard to visit Interact on Mondays from 2:35-3:15 at the high school.  The students and their facilitator, Lisa Mowles always appreciates when Rotarians are there to involve them or help them.    He is also looking for a Rotarian who would be our club's official contact with their club.  Contact Bob if you are interested in more information.
Bob also talked with us about next week's Reverse Raffle/Silent Auction.  All tickets have been sold but he still needs to have the rest of the money.  Seating for the raffle is progressing.  If you have not requested seating, please let me know by tomorrow evening the names of people you are planning on being seated with.  The only way Karen Monbeck and I know that you want to be together is if you tell us.  Contact me at  Also make sure we know if you have purchased a ticket but are unable to attend.  We surely appreciate the cooperation of all of those who have already given us that information.  It just makes for a smoother welcome for our guests.
Christina Gary thanked everyone for their donations to the Silent Auction and asked that everything be at Annette Oborn's house by Saturday so that the items can be processed.  Christina told us that many nice donations have come in and she credits our 501 (c) (3) with moving the gifts to another level.  There will be a Pumpkin Patch area at the event which will showcase what the club does with the profits during the year.  She gave thanks to the graphics staff at the library for helping to get this together.
Tom Bahr talked with us about Veterans' Day which will be at Stow-Glen at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7.  He passed around a clipboard asking us to sign up if we are coming and indicating our branch of service if appropriate.  Please feel free to bring guests.  Do register them ahead of time, however.
For our program this morning we participated in the On The Table program, an effort led by the Akron Community Foundation and the Knight Foundation in order to assess the needs of our area and perhaps provide solutions. Discussion in five different topic areas were led by Annie Hanson, Carrie Leising, Dave Renninger, Annette Oborn and Andy Denton.  The conversation was lively and participation was strong.  Thanks to Annie for organizing this and sending us out with appreciation for our role in the community.  If you participated this morning and have not done the survey, you may text OTTOH to 797979 to do so.  Or, you can go to to find the survey there.  Anyone who did a paper survey needs to get it to Annie at the Reverse Raffle or before.
