Guest Announcer: Bonnie Housley was our announcer today.  She started by thanking John Long, Sergeant at Arms and Tony Falcione for getting everyone checked in.
Visitors:  Steve Dutton was a guest of John Sues today.
Fines:  Katie Wright was last in and also had no pin.
Special Days:
Rotary Anniversaries:  Ray Evans will celebrate 10 years as a Rotarian on December 8th.

Birthdays: We wished Mark Ferguson  (12/5) and Anne Hanson (12/9) a happy birthday but neither was here to celebrate with us.
Bonnie reported that Karen Monbeck is in Summa Hospital’s Rehab Hospital.  She has her I-Pad with her, so we could all send her a message.  In addition, Bonnie reported that Janelle, who has taken such good care of us at the club has been in Intensive Care but now is in a step-down unit for kidney problems.

Drawing:   Carrie Leising drew the King of Clubs, so the pot continues to grow.
Who is This Rotarian?  President Jim read information about a Rotarian whose tonsils grew over his tongue which made speaking difficult.  He was in speech therapy and special education for most of his school years.  Then he went on to get an undergraduate degree in philosophy and a Master’s Degree from Emory University.  Who is this Rotarian?.....Pastor Brad Jagger.
Announcements:  Dave Renninger announced that this is our evening for the Food Bank.  Interact will also be there to help us.  The sign-up sheet was passed around for January 7th.
Bob Oborn announced that Mike Sekulich will continue to chair the Reverse Raffle next year. The crowd cheered because the event was so successful this past year.
Helping Hands, our project to wrap gifts for families in Stow who need our help, will take place at On Tap, Monday, December 8th from 6:00-8:30. If those who have agreed to purchase gifts  wrap them and bring them Monday evening, they should be labeled with the person’s name and box number. The box number is extremely important so that the gifts get to the right people. Raffle tickets will be available with the prize of a $50 gift card for On Tap.  There are no outstanding gift purchases that are needed.  Thanks Rotarians! Marv Mills said that the delivery of the gifts will be on Saturday, Dec. 6th.  He will have the lists available Monday evening.

Let President Callahan know if you are willing to be the announcer for next week.
Pat Messmore announced the winners in the Ohio State Pool for the past couple of weeks.  Rotarians who won were Brad Ruth, who won twice, Tom Loepp and Rich Bedell
He also gave a plea for money to be donated to the Rotary Foundation.  We are hoping for at least $25.00 from each Rotarian.
Katie Wright told us that the Holiday Breakfast will be on December 17th.  Next week a sign-up sheet will be circulated to get the number of guests.
Katie also used a Happy Buck to announce a Holiday Boutique which will be held on Tuesday, December 9th.   While shopping from 20 vendors, people can enjoy dinner.  Proceeds will benefit The LeniBug Foundation.  Contact Katie Wright for further information.  Cost is $35.00 per person and you may call Silver Lake Country Club (330-688-6066) to make reservations.
She also reported that Rotary Reads is going very well.   Christina Gary made bookmarks for all of the students. Rotarians are encouraged to pick them up from Katie or Christina.
Bob Oborn reminded us about the district project to help with the Ronald McDonald House renovations, a district project.  It is very easy to go to http://www.gofundme.com/rotarycares in order to donate.
Andy Denton thanked Bruce Hill for going above and beyond with the bell ringing for Salvation Army when he stayed a whole extra shift.

There was no speaker today due to a mix-up so the meeting was adjourned early.
Respectfully,
Andy Denton
