Congratulations to our two scholarship winners: Abby Clark and Molly Woodford.
Abby will be attending University of Alabama Birmingham in the fall. Abby has been a great community member at Cony High School, exuding “service above self” by volunteering at the Ironman Augusta, and at the food bank, the hospital, tutoring or at the community center.
Molly attended Maranacook Community School, and will be attending St. Joseph’s College in the fall. Molly exemplifies ‘service above self’ by participating in student council and organized Make a Difference Week where she led the students in collecting food and money for their local food pantry. Molly also spends her time refereeing youth soccer games all while working at the local apple orchard in her community.
(Rotary scholarships open in February and provide students at Cony High and Maranacook High School with financial support in their first year at school!)
