It was great to see another full room for our lunch meeting last week.  We began the meeting by hearing from Brian Battaglia and Steve Craig about the Scout Trade Program at Camp Manatoc.  Their focus is to provide middle school age students exposure to carpentry, plumbing, electric, welding and CAD.  The program had their grand opening April 25th, and Brian has high hopes for continued growth over the next several years.

We also had a guest, (David Brown) from the Northampton Historical Society.  He will be presenting on the Society in December but wanted to stop in to visit the club and also to promote their annual Keyser Barn & Tailgate Fundraiser.  The fundraiser will be on September 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at 783 W. Bath Road.  If you would like more information, let me know and I can pass on David's contact information.

Abby and Jessica invited everyone to their Mumfest on September 20th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  It will be at Johny's Lawn Care & Garden Center at 3924 State Road where you can shop for fall mums while enjoying Cider & Donuts provided by the Realize Team.  They will also have giveaways throughout the morning.

A big thank you to Tom Kaser for being our greater and member spotlight.  It was great to learn more about your family’s history in Northampton as well as the number of cousins you have.  

Our annual football pool is underway.  Thanks to everyone that is playing as well as to Duane for organizing it.  We have 63 entries this year and after week 1 are down to 42 survivors.  Not quite the mass elimination of last year, but one upset can have a big impact this early.

Finally, Our speaker this week will be our District Governor, Terri Speck making her official visit to Northampton and we will have a Board Meeting prior to our regular lunch meeting.
