Mentor Rotarians went Back to School!
This past Monday with the diligence of President Lisa, the support from some our Rotarians, Kevin Newcomb, Jack Butler, Doug Grose, John Solich, Linda Clements, Vickie Curtis, Denis Nowacki, John Konrad, Doug Anderson, Dave Noble, Fred LaRiccia and Brenda Piraino arrived at Mentor High School promptly at 7:30AM. No tardy slips given out here. We were able to speak and raise the awareness of our Bone Marrow program to the Class of 2010 of 600 plus graduates. With the guidance of Melissa Kirby, MH organizer for this event we were able to obtain over 70 potential donors for the National Bone Marrow Registry. President Lisa already has plans underway to enhance our partnership with Mentor Public Schools and Lake Catholic to increase on-site recruitment and engage the larger community in the commitment of Mentor Rotary's mission with the power to help save lives. Kudos to President Lisa with this project!
