The mission of the Rotary Club of Jefferson is to advance the professional, civic and general interest of the Jefferson area. The organization shall promote the Jefferson area as a great place to live, work and shop, and encourage the active aid and cooperation of all citizens, merchants, manufacturers, professional people, property owners, employers, and employees in advancing the best interests of the Jefferson area.
Because the Rotary Club of Jefferson values education, it will give (at least) one scholarship annually in the amount of $1,000.00 to a student meeting the qualifications on this application. Applications are reviewed by the scholarship committee of the club.
Applicants must be a current high school senior enrolled at Jefferson Area High School (JAHS) or be a JAHS student enrolled in a program at the Ashtabula County Technical and Career Center. Other student eligibility include: students that attend JAHS through open enrollment but live outside the district; students that are home schooled and reside within the JAHS district.
The Treasurer will pay out the scholarship to the recipient upon receipt of proof of successful completion of the first quarter, or semester of college/school.
