The annual Rotary convention, held in different cities around the world, brings members together to share ideas for improving lives and bringing positive, lasting change to communities. Given the organization’s global scope and cultural diversity, Rotary conventions are often described as “mini-United Nations” with a range of 20,000 to 40,000 member attendees from more than 100 countries.
“The Calgary Stampede is thrilled to have been a part of the successful bid that so clearly demonstrates what our city can accomplish when it comes together,” says Warren Connell, Chief Executive Officer at the Calgary Stampede. “Winning a convention of this magnitude requires partners, agencies and many stakeholders to work together for the common benefit of our community. Calgarians should feel very proud.”
