PROGRAM:  Helmets to Hardhats.  Jim Dvorak.

Helmets to Hardhats was started in 2002 and helps military personnel transition into top jobs in the trades.  The training program pays for half of the wage and the contractor the individual is placed with pays the other half.  As the worker gains experience, the program pays less of the wage and the contractor pays more until the contractor has a trained and competent worker, at which time the contractor is paying the full wage.  Candidates for this program can register at www.helmetstohardhats.org.  Jim Dvorak is a recruiting volunteer for the program in our area.
