PROGRAM:  Ogie Shaw, Health and Fitness Program

Mr. Shaw of Beaverton, Oregon, who has over 30 years of experience in exercise and fitness training gave the club a very inspired, entertaining and educational program. Most of us suffer from lack the time and motivation to stay fit. And fortunately for us couch potatos all the aerobic exercise and dieting would appear to be of limited benefit. Mr. Shaw has developed an exercise program using a device called the Isorobic Exerciser that can give you an aerobic(cardiovascular) and strength conditioning workout in only 6 minutes a day.

In addition to the excercise program Mr. Shaw discussed diet recommendations in a book called Nutripoints, by Dr. Ray Vartabedian. Most of us eat primarily 30 different foods. This book provides a point system to help you select the most beneficial foods from your favorites. The object being to keep your points at 100 for an optimal diet. By following the point system you will automatically get the best calorie, vitamin and mineral combination from your diet and as a result be naturally thinner and healthier.
