Jodie Swartwout has purchased all the items for the Shoebox for Kids project.  However, many of the children want baseball mitts but the best price Jodie can find is $21 per glove which does not work with her budget.  If anybody knows of a cheaper source for mitts or has a used glove they would like to donate please let Jodie know.  She is also looking for marbles which have been hard to find thus far.

Chuck White announced that we need to focus on selling more tickets for the truck that Preston Motors generously donated to our Car Show efforts.  To date we have only sold 51 tickets.  Chuck said we are going to start moving the truck to various locations around the county to hopefully get some more exposure and generate more interest.   Also, Chuck asked the membership to work hard to find advertisers for our program and has found a person who would be willing to help us sell ads to local businesses for a commission.  Lastly, the Car Show Committee is looking for somebody who would be willing to monitor the website and our 800 number for ticket sales.

Mike Pesek is giving each member a "2009 Rotary Ride" pin which were left over from the Motorcycle Run.  Please see Mike if you have not received your pin.
