THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE TWO WORK PROJECTS:
 
  1. At the Bond Building for a painting project. 3:00-3:30, Please bring your paint brushes, drop cloths, ladders, scrappers etc. Finish by 6 pm.
  2. At the Red Simmons Memorial. 5:30, Work detail, mulching and weeding. Please bring your pitch forks, rakes, shovels, etc.

DINNER:

  • Howard and Dave will be cooking for us at the Veteran's Memorial Senior Center at 7 pm.

NEWS:
  1. Akron RC will be hosting a Rotary Cookout (fundraiser) for their Rotary Camp on June 28. For details contact Len or go to the web site of the Rotary Club of Akron.
  2. Kathy Rose and Craig will be holding (held) a gathering at Windrush Hollow at 3 pm, on 6-2.
  3. Willoughby RC will be having a golf outing Monday, June 25 at the Kirtland CC, 1:30 pm. Len has details, for those wishing to participate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Brian Brockway will need a work detail at 3 pm, Thursday to prime and scrape some wood for the project. Meet at the Bond building with ladder and scrapper.
  • August 8, 7 pm, Captains game, Eastlake. Tickets are available for $7.00 from Brian Brockway. All you can eat hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, popcorn is available for $10. See Brian about your tickets.
  • Chris Livers needs you to check your attendance record on clubrunner and let her know if there is any discrepancy. She needs to get everything wrapped up for the changeover and the end of the Rotary year.

SPEAKERS:

  • A.J. Rose, charter and current member of the BMR gave us a little BMR history lesson.
  • Mary Yaeger, new BMR member, provided some personal history about her occupation and hobbies.
  • Len provided some videos and voiceover about the artificial heart he is working on at the clinic.
  • We got a small sampling via video of this years Dictionary Project at Saint Helens elementary school.
