PROGRAM - Geauga County Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  Meredith Ashkettle.

The first ReStore facility in Geauga County is going to be having its grand opening July 16th.  The store is located at 12180 Kinsman Road, Newbury (the old Chandler Tree Building).  Meredith Ashkettle will be the store manager. 

ReStore is an outlet that collects new and used construction materials along with furniture, appliances, and other household items.  Individuals donating items to ReStore can deduct the value of their donation from their taxes.  These items are then sold to the public at drastically reduced prices.  The proceeds from the sale of this merchandise creates a revenue stream to fund Habitat for Humanity housing projects in Geauga County. 

Meredith is looking for volunteers for the new store.  Many jobs need to be filled including truck driver, administrative support, cashiers, warehouse workers, and sales associates.  Please contact ReStore at 440-564-7475 or geaugahabitatrestore@windstream.net if you can help.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dave Brigham reported that half the inside walls are now done at the fairgrounds building.  The next scheduled work day will be Saturday, May 22nd to finish the walls.  Please plan on being there by 8:30 AM.

The Lake County Captains will be hosting a Captains Rotary Night Saturday, May 22nd.  The event includes a picnic starting at 5:30 PM, preferred seating for Rotarians, and a chance to watch District 6630's own John Bosco through out the first pitch.  The cost for an adult picnic/game ticket is $23, a child picnic/game ticket is $19, and just a game ticket (no picnic) is $9.  The game starts at 6:30 PM.  Please contact Andrew Grover with the Lake County Captains at 440-975-8085 ext. 136 to order tickets. 

The 2010 Changeover Banquet/Picnic is going to be Wednesday, June 30 at Pineview Lake (10036 Wilson Mills Road, Munson) with cocktails be served at 6:00 PM and dinner to follow at 7:00 PM.  The meal will include hamburgers and hot dogs, asian stir fry, ham fried rice, corn on the cob, rigatoni with meatballs, potato salad, baked beans, green salad, fruit salad, and dessert.  The cost is $16.50 per person.  Children 6-10 years old are $9.50 per child.  Children under 6 are free.  Please see Jodie if you do not have your invite yet.
