Rotary Youth Exchange Program

We had 4 guests at our August 8 meeting: Tim Snell, Pat Kelley, Carla Kanieski and Carla's father, Michael.

 

Tim is the General Chairman of the District 6630 Youth Exchange Program. He is a member of the Lodi Rotary Club and has had extensive experience with youth programs both within and outside of Rotary. He oversees the operation of the District's Short Term exchange program, long term Inbound program, long term Outbound Scholarship program and its Rebound program.

 

Pat is the Chairman of the District's Outbound Program. He is a member of the Hudson Clocktower Rotary Club  and has been involved in all aspects of Rotary's high school exchange program. He currently oversees the District's Outbound Scholarship program.

 

Carla is a Rebound Exchange Student who just returned from a year in Germany. She will be a senior this year and was just 15 and in 10th grade when she submitted her application to the Medina Rotary Club seeking their sponsorship. For the last year she was hosted by the Rotary Club of Oldenburg.

 

Mike gave us a fathers' perspective of having a child participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
