As most of you are aware, we conducted another Alex's Lemonade Stand Fundraiser
on Saturday at the Ocean City Fall Block Party.
The weather was PERFECT, the island was packed with people, and they all seemed
to be on Asbury Avenue all day long.

I am proud to report that we had our most productive fundraiser to date, raising $1515
to help in the fight against all forms of juvenile cancers.

I want to thank all Rotarians who took time from their busy schedules to help with this project.
I also want to thank Nancy Hannun for arranging to have the Interact kids lend a hand. Stefan, Kimberly,
and Anastasia did a great job.

Finally, a great big "THANK YOU" is directed to Bob Dusz and the staff at Cape Bank. Bob devoted
his entire day to this worthy cause, starting with setup at 8:00 am, working all day, and even staying to
help with break-down and cleanup at 5:00 pm.  Cape Bank was invaluable, donating the use of their
parking lot to set up the stand, the use of their kitchenette, and even their chairs to make us more
comfortable.

Thank you all for helping keep Alex Scotts dream/wish alive and helping us toward the goal that NO child
shall have to suffer with childhhod cancer.

Yours in Rotary service,
Jim Chadwick
