Off Site Visit to Elite Health Center

Our meeting today was off site. We gathered at the Elite Health Center building for our lunch. President West had many announcements. He thanked the volunteers who volunteered to direct traffic at the Old West Balloon Fest. He also spoke of the success of the Tri-Club picnic and passed on the compliments he received. He thanked those who signed up for the finish line table at the upcoming Monument Marathon. And finally asked members to consider helping with the Day of Sharing. He also announced that in October the club will have a Rowdy Rotarian evening to share with potential new members what Rotary is about. The program was Katie Camacho, operation manager of the Elite Health Center. She spoke briefly about the project, which began five years ago. Drs. Sami Webb, an orthodontist, and Jason Webb, an optometrist, had outgrown their current spaces and decided to go big. The Elite Health Center was built with the community in mind. The large building is 68% occupied and currently is home to Webb Eye care, Webb Orthodontics, DaVita dialysis, a pediatric dental practice, a daycare, and its newest venture, Elite Fitness Center. Other businesses coming soon are an urgent care medical facility and a coffee shop. Mrs. Camacho conducted a tour of the building with the major stop being the fitness center.
