Husker Football Recruitment Update

Today, the last week for seniors at Gering High School, we are fortunate enough to welcome Alissa Escamilla, our student guest, to our meeting.  She plans on studying accounting at Grand Canyon University. President Wolfe is putting together a picture board for the District Conference and is requesting pictures anyone ay have of special events.  Our speaker today is our own Paul Hofmeister who is here to give his perspective on the recruiting season for the University Of Nebraska Cornhusker Football team.  Mr. Hofmeister is an avid Husker fan and follows the team on various websites dedicated to keeping fans abreast of the team. He is very impressed with Coach Riley and his recruiting staff. The team has done well in recruiting quarterbacks, and wide receivers. California is a big recruitment state for Nebraska. Where the team is weak is in its defensive line. There has been a loss of players and little to recruit. Mr. Hofmeister is cautiously optimistic on the team’s record for next year.  Where last year the team lost a number of games by little margin, he feels this year will be the opposite, and the team will those games on a narrow margin.
