Life Change Connection

Today was the first meeting for our new president Zac Karpf. Our Program today is Neal Blomenkamp who is founder and president of Life Change Connection. Life Change Connection is an organization to help those who have diabetes. Neal founded the organization in 2012and at that time his family was his staff. Today they have multiple volunteers who help those with Diabetes. They run Comp Connect which is a day camp at the Trails West Y.M.C.A. camp which help young people between the ages of 6 – 16 learn about Diabetes how to use pumps and monitoring equipment, and provide support to those who have been recently diagnosed and are wondering what their life will be like. The camp is free. There are several events which help support the camp, one being the upcoming Runza Best Ball which is held each July. He is encouraging members to participate. Also a Corn Hole Toss is now an annual event and is becoming quite popular. He encourages members to check out his web site if they have questions or wish to become involved
