Fortis Boys Choir
Announcements today included a reminder from President Knutson that this will be our last meeting of the year, as we will not meet again until January 9th. Mr. Shoemaker explained the dictionary project progress and asked again for volunteers to distribute to third grade classes. Stan Haas had the honor of telling the club that an organic farming program in Turkey had been funded. What began in 2012 has touched all the bases and will begin. Our club pledged $3,500.00 and after all the matching grants, it has grown to over $20,000.00. The program was introduced by Bob Kelley. We were entertained by the Fortis Boys Choir. A small portion of the choir gave selections of their past concert; Christmas music featured on the Movies Home Alone and Home Alone II. Music included Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Carol of the Bells, Christmas Star and also solo performances on the piano and electric guitar. Members left with the spirit of Christmas.
