It was winter for today’s meeting, as those who attended braved the falling and accumulating snow. We welcomed our student guests from Scottsbluff High and Gering High; Zoe Holscher and Loren Shaul respectively. We also inducted and welcomed our newest member, Brandy Reichert, an investor for Edward Jones. The program today was the six Young R.Y.L.A. (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). The four participants from Scottsbluff Middle School were Talera Kinsey, Sydney Hinze, Samantha Galiindo, and Antonio Cortex. The two from Gering Junior High were Tukker Rome and Abby Madden.  Each participant was given an opportunity to speak about their experience in the week long program. Abby Madden gave a day-by-day description and did a thorough and confident job. Each thanked the club for the opportunity and all felt they were changed for the better. After some prompting, those parents which were in attendance also spoke of the changes they saw in their child. After a round of applause for the speakers, we were released back out into the cold and snow.
